“Lovers” is a story of romance and tenderness, that explores the relationship of queer couples within religious traditions. This highlights the complicity and connection with faith and freedom through Barcelona’s fashion, architecture and nature.

"At last unfettered. Set free from the conflict that consumed their being. The conflict the little child they'd always been was conditioned to interiorize. The tenderness of their touches, caresses and embraces, deeply yearned for, were no longer shunned by the deity of their life and instead seen as a delicate pulchritude. The vehement wail in their minds no longer accompanied the "deplorable sin" of absorbing one another. They were intertwined with faith in their queer way. One that no one could understand but them and that was okay.
